General Custodian (Night Shift)

HOURS: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Night Porter Responsibilities 

• Clean assigned area as directed by Night Supervisor or Manager
• Room Cleaning:
  • Pull trash and replace liners if soiled
  • Dust door jambs, windowsills (remove dust and cobwebs)
  • Clean windows, air vents and walls (as needed)
  • Disinfect sinks and countertops, clean bathrooms
  • Vacuum carpet/rugs, clean corners, edges and kick plates
  • Dust mop/spot mop floors every night
  • Mop rooms 2-3 times a week (Tribase or Peroxy)
  • Stock dispensers with paper towels and soap
  • Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs (as needed)
• Restroom Cleaning:
  • Clean urinals, toilets, sinks, brightwork, mirrors, walls/partitions
  • Mop floors every night (NABC)
  • Stock dispensers with paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap
• Hallways:
  • Dust mop and mop every night (Tribase or Peroxy)
  • Spot clean walls, dust lockers
  • Disinfect water fountains
  • Clean windows and air vents (as needed)
  • Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs (as needed)
• Stairwells:
  • Sweep/mop stairs every night
  • Spot clean walls (as needed)
